The Love My Pets GPS Dog Collar - What is it? What does it do?

The LovemypetsGPS safety dog tracking collar was developed to enhance the safety of your pet, both in terms of quick recovery in the event of dislocation and also to enhance the safety of your pet at night, as many of our pets are killed or injured at night as a result of being struck by vehicles.

• Ability of the GPS unit to IMMEDIATELY obtain the location of your missing pet on demand!
• Once the location has been determined, you can set the device on your computer for interval tracking as frequently as every 60 seconds, in the event your pet is moving around.
• Ability to set up a GEO Fence*. 
• You can also receive an E-mail or SMS text when device travels outside established GEO Fence.
• Glow in the dark banding on the collar to alert the driver of a vehicle that there is an object in the roadway ahead.
• Reflective material on the webbing on the collar, harness, and leash that will light up when struck from an external light source, such as the headlights of an approaching vehicle.
• High quality materials used in the construction of the safety collar.
• The collars GPS envelope and the GPS unit are both water resistant.

*A geofence is a circular, virtual boundary you can set around a GPS device. Its radius can be as small as 100 yards or as large as 1000 yards (10 city blocks). Its purpose is to alert you whenevever the device leaves its boundary.

• The safety collar uses an award-winning GPS device. The locating device doesn’t need a line-of-sight with an open sky, and can locate indoors using a combination of GPS technology and cellular signals. You can log in to our secure software to determine your pets’ location at any time. The GPS device is small, sturdy and light weight.
• The high quality glow in the dark material is non-toxic and non-radioactive. The glow pigments only require daylight to become re-energized. The glow in the dark banding is a great feature as it does not require batteries or bulbs and will maintain a long after glow effect.
• The reflective material has one of the highest reflective values on the market and is bonded to the webbing.
• The collar, harness and leash are made of the highest quality products. The webbing is polyester which has excellent resistance to UV and in general stretches around 5% less than nylon. The material also dries faster and maintains a consistent fit. The hardware is acetal on the buckle and adjuster to keep the products light and strong. A welded steel Dee-ring is used for the leash clip for added strength. (This collar should not be used for tie-out)

* The GPS battery life depends on how often a location is sent from the device to the server. More frequent use of the locating device results in shorter battery life.
